This foodcourt at Sunnybank has left a deep impression in our hearts.
We had our first dinner here on a cold winter night when we first came to Brisbane to study 7 years ago.

We've heard from friends that the stalls have all closed down, but we refuse to believe it.
It's like there are some Elvis's fans believing that the King is still alive.
Reality sank in when we were greeted by empty stalls and rows of seats.
This place was so vibrant, and the food so good. Especially the ma la hotpot.
We used to come here almost every week to get our lunch fix and grocery shopping.

Well, at least this one is still around.

We ordered like there is no tomorrow. Well, we may be back to this place for the next 7 years, might as well eat till our heart's content.

Yum yum!

Eliss fell asleep in the car as we headed to the biggest factory outlet in Queensland.
I stocked up on Mambo tshirts, which are relatively cheaper here. Most of the other big brands here like Nike, adidas, Polo, Esprit were not so "sincere" with their discounts.

Legs aching from the shopping, we went to the Versace Hotel, still the one and only in the world today for some drinks.

The lobby and the big chandelier never cease to amaze me.

The whole place is just so luxurious. The palm trees just give the place a very "Miami" feel about it.

Even the couch here is Versace.

And the lights too.

Eliss ordered the Versace signature cake. Deliciously sinful.

I just had some ice mocha to remind me that I'm not dreaming.
Versace was one of my fave designers when I was younger. I even own a pair of its jeans, which I can't fit in now for sure.

After "nuaing" on the couch for way too long, we finally reached Surfers.

Behind me is the infamous venue of the annual Schoolies week, where high-school graduates come here to celebrate week-long holidays following the end of their final exams in late November and early December.
Kids get drunk here and end up in all sorts of troubles you can imagine.

The wind so so strong my hands were shaking.

Imagine living in one of these apartments overlooking the sea.

I reckon this place is more stunning when the sun goes down.

Gold Coast has changed quite a bit over these few years. This is a new part which we never see before. Flanked with restaurants and designer boutiques, there are also 2 blocks of apartment right in the middle of it.

Do you see some uncanny similarities between the restaurant's signboard and Leunig's artwork?

There is a new attraction called Haunted House that sells scary stuff, and also has a haunted house walk through behind the shop.

This bugger tried to scare Eliss by tapping on her shoulder and make faces at her when she turned back.

Nah, just another guy who did cesarean.

Poking fun at the funny cartoon of a Chinese massage place.

After a long, tiring day, we finally checked into our hotel.
Check out the size of this room! Eliss jumped onto the bed instantly and hit the tv remote.
Let me tell you, there were some really interesting videos on the hotel private channels.
Good night, guys!
