Finally approaching Friday! It's such a long and tiring week! Been working OTs, man! Can't wait for Sat to sleep in.

Eliss has left for Tokyo this morning, with Vernon A. Going to miss her, but hope she has lots of fun on the birthday today.

Celebrated with her and her Poly mates at Hotel Rendevous yesterday. I surprised her by turning up at the venue with the cake, when I told her earlier that I'll be at home resting. Hehe.

She looked happy, which made me happy.

Went to Taka to catch the Mitsubishi Motor Show to see my Evolution VIII. Ony one word to describe: Awesome

Power: 271 bhp / 202.2 kW @ 6500 rpm
BHP/Liter: 135.7
Torque: 370 Nm / 272.9 ft lbs @ 3500 rpm
Power to weight ratio: 0.18 bhp/kg

Just found out the other day that SBS removed 106 and 111, my direct bus to Orchard! This is to avoid redundancy of routes because of NEL. What a load of crap! How about the people that live in between the MRT stations? How to get there? Orchard Road business will be crippled by the Serangooners for sure...

Malaysia to ban divorce by SMS

A Muslim man can end his marriage by telling his wife 'I divorce you' three times. The paper said that the government planned to pass new laws to prevent divorce pronouncements through SMS and other electronic media such as email and fax.

What duh?!

Real Madrid's David Beckham, seen here receiving a jersey with his name and number in Kunming, China on Wednesday, is the face most Britons polled wanted to see on their money. Becks topped the poll ahead of Winston Churchill and Princess Diana.

What duh duh?!

Witnessed a spectcular accident on the first day of Hungry Ghost month. I was driving along Lentor Avenue when a Civic cut in front of me at top speed. The car swirled out of control and crashed into the side of road and flipped over. The car was smashed and debris flew and hit bits of my car.

Too fast too foolish?

From tomorrow, clubbers will be able to take partying to a higher level. Bar-top dancing will be legalised as part of an attempt by the authorities to loosen restrictions on the nightlife scene. Under the Public Entertainment Act, dancing at night-spots was limited to designated dance areas. This excluded bar tops.

In May 2002, the management of Devils Bar was charged with allowing two men to dance on its bar top. The licensee compounded the offence and paid a $500 fine. If found guilty, she would have been given a maximum fine of up to $10,000.

Currently, nightspots pay about $4,000 to $5,000 a year for insurance coverage. This covers third-party liability, which means that the insurer will pay if someone successfully sues the nightspot in the event of an accident.

Generally, negligence on the part of the outlet has to be proven in court before the insurance company makes payment.

What do you think?
