Half a week gone in a flash.
I understand some of you are looking for jobs, especially those graduating from overseas. I've placed an Asiaone Career link there, which I think is pretty good, as the ads are very similiar to those on Straits Times Classified. Happy job hunting!
What did I do on Sunday? Went to Eliss's place to pick up her mum and her for dinner. It was the first time that we ever ate together outside. Went for some delicious fish head curry opposite Sembawang Shopping Centre. Chatted with her mum about everything, mostly about her you tiao business.
After that, went to Tracy's 21st birthday party down at her place. Saw many of her family members. She has a very cute Jack Russel called Hooch, which is hyperactive and charges all around in the executive flat. I like friendly dogs, especially those that doesn't bark.
Went for some coffee after the cake cutting with cell members for a chat. Quite a nice way to end the week.
Went for the usual badminton game on Monday evening at CSC with my dad. Had a really good time having it out on the court.
Caught T3 yesterday night with my darling.
I could still remember the mind blowing sfx of T2, so was actually full of expectation for the sequel. Using Kristanna Loken for the T-X role is definitely a winner.
I really wan to know what she used for her hair, which cannot be messed up no matter what happened earlier. And she wore the same piece of maroon leatherwear throughout the whole show, wonder if cyborg sweats...
Fancy throwing Arnie around and kicking his butt? Guess she is the only one who can do it.
Going for the UQ Alumni meeting tomorrow at Sheraton Towers. Really look forward to meet the nice people I got to know while at UQ. All the Food Summits, inter-state trips during the vacations...wow...really miss them. Hope most of them will turn up.
You know what, I haven't had my proper convocation ceremony yet. Suppposed to attend in here on my birthday last March, but was cancelled because of war and SARS. Revised date has not been fixed yet. Sigh.
Anyone a Final Fantasy fan out there?
The new Final Fantasy X-2 looks great, features an engaging and often funny assortment of missions, and offers an eccentric story that's populated with a host of unique characters. But for me, I'm too impatient to play RPGs, opting for a more straight forward arcade game.
I'm more interested to drive my Evo VII in the Grand Turismo 4 that is coming out. The biggest initial difference you'll notice between GT3 and GT4 is the graphics. It seems as though Polyphony Digital has substantially upped the amount of trackside detail for some of the courses without sacrificing the quality of the car models. Really awesome stuff.
When will FIFA 2004 come out? I must get it!
