I'm finally back, after MIA for about a week. Hope you are still tuning in regularly.
Started on my new job on Wednesday, and I'm really excited to be part of this big organisation. The people are great and are so willing to show me the ropes. Will be away for training in JB for 3 days next week. Looking forward to it.
I really thank God for blessing me this new job which not only pays better, but the people are great too. It provides me with more exposure to the F&B industry and get to learn more about food knowledge. I love food, so this job is perfect for me.
It's been a while since I took the plane, since Feb (5 months). Can't imagine I'm back in Singapore for so long already. It seems like yesterday when I was still in UQ. We had a special request of seafood meal, which was great. Stir fried noodles with generous serving of king prawns, scallops and calamari.
Touched down at about 9.30am. BKK was great. Weather was a tat hot though. We were picked up by the tour guide there and showed to our hotel. The room was fine, looked pretty much like the picture I posted before.
Did a lot of shopping and eating. Things are really cheap over there, especially local food. A dish of beef noodles costs about S$1.20. The portion is however smaller than ours bak home. They seem to like bean sprouts and chopped peanuts a lot. And their beverage will definitely give you a sugar rush.
The BTS is pretty convenient and a good way to beat BKK's famous traffic jams. It looks like our old MRT and uses our old ticketing machines. Maybe LKY and gang sold to them at lelong price.
MBK is one of the better places to shop I reckon. Things are inexpensive over there and it's more comfy that Jatuchat and Patpong. Siam Square is way too high end, even the G2000 is dearer over there.
Don't miss out on the street vendors' grilled sotong and chicken wings. Heavenly.
Didn't really get a lot of things, just some t shirts and small items.

Have been looking for cars, saw this Smart car... I think it's pretty interesting.
The Smart is revolutionary, making the most of any available parking space - at only 2.5 metres long and 1.51 metres wide coupled with an excellent turning circle, parking anywhere is made easy. The interior is amazingly spacious, with the passenger seat set back a little to improve the driver's vision, and enough luggage space for the golf clubs or weekend shopping.
Engineered by Mercedes-Benz, the 700cc, three cylinder Suprex turbocharged engine is situated at the rear. The output is 44 bhp on the Pure, 60 bhp on the Pulse, and 54 bhp on the Passion models. Fuel consumption is low at approximatly 48 mpg around town, 67 mpg out of town making an average of 56 mpg. Acceleration is reassuringly responsive with the maximum speed governed to 84 mph.
