My church is having our 15th anniversary celebration this coming weekend! You are welcome to join us! There's going to be food, games and drama. And I will appear on stage too!
Caught 'The Village' over the weekend with Eliss. The movie depicts the thrilling tale of an isolated town confronting the astonishing truth that lies just outside its borders. At first glance, this village seems picture perfect, but this close-knit community lives with the frightening knowledge that creatures reside in the surrounding woods. The evil and foreboding force is so unnerving that none dare venture beyond the borders of the village and into the woods. But when curious, headstrong Lucius Hunt plans to step beyond the boundaries of the town and into the unknown, his bold move threatens to forever change the future of the village.
There is a twist towards the ending which I'm not going to review here. Go catch it!
Bought some car accesories at Carrefour too. Got some bumpers protectors to stick on te sides to prevent scratches, a bottle of leather conditioner, an ambi pur car refreshener, a bottle of car shampoo and tyres conditioner. Over $30 was spent, not cheap, man!
Went Boat Quay to take a walk and see how's things there. I would say that it's so quiet... It's like only doing slightly better than a weekday night. And the watering holes seemed to have vanished or have moved behind to Circular Road. It's really bad.
Ate supper at Maxwell Market. The Hokkien Mee is still as awesome as ever, but the crowd is not. Lots of gays giggling and hugging one another at the table opposite. I wonder where they come from, perhaps from some gay joints up at Ann Siang Hill or Club Street. The crowd is so different from the day time, definitely.
"Fahrenheit 9/11" will be the next movie in my list. In this film, muckraker Michael Moore turns his eye on George W. Bush and his War on Terrorism agenda. He illustrates his argument about how this failed businessman with deep connections to the royal house of Saud of Saudia Arabia and the Bin Ladins got elected on fraudulent circumstances and proceeded to blunder through his duties while ignoring warnings of the looming betrayal by his foreign partners. When that treachery hits with the 9/11 attacks, Moore explains how Bush failed to take immediate action to defend his nation, only to later cynically manipulate it to serve his wealthy backers' corrupt ambitions. Through facts, footage and interviews, Moore illustrates his contention of how Bush and his cronies have gotten America into worse trouble than ever before and why Americans should not stand for it.
I think it will be a great show.
Have you seen the new Real Madrid kit? I don't like the satin look at all. Prefer the past season, where Beckham just joined.
