You cannot judge a book by its cover. I wonder is it SAF, so most guys are always looking for alternative fun.
I was cleaning the rifles and there is these 2 guys discussing about their escapades in JB. They were literally giving each other a field report. The 2 of them looked pretty decent. But they have apparently be at it for the past 4 years or so.
And there was this NSF armorer (in charge of the rifles) fascinated about the details. He was very interested and the 2 told him it's a matter of time that he will be joining in their activities, especially when he start earning real money.
I felt disgusted. How can they do such things and still be proud of it? It's not like going for a game of golf or something.
Later in the afternoon, I followed a Staff Sergeant to return some unexpanded rounds at Pasir Laba Camp ammo base. It was the first time I took the land-rover since my NSF days. It must be the slowest and hottest vehicle on the road. I was steaming under those canvases behind the rover. It was so warm but I could still fall asleep.
Must the the No 4 (camouflage uniform) that I'm wearing. Tell you a secret. If you have any sleeping disorder, try wearing your (or your husband's) No 4 like a PJ. Works wonders, man! I haven't heard of any reservists got any sleeping problem.
If you don't believe, you go and ask someone you know who is doing reservist. Ask them can they sleep anywhere in that uniform. They sure tell you can...on the ground, grass patch, basically anywhere.
Rushed back home straight after book out for cell group. They will start coming about 7pm. I reached home around 6.50pm and took a quick shower before rushing over to my parents place to a quick dinner and reached home around 7.45pm.
Talk about fast food!
Today's sermon was about the withered hand. What struck me most today was the part that even after we stepped out in faith, God will still test us by asking us to stretch out our hands (Mk 3:2).
I like the part when Caleb said that although the old man in the bible had a withered hand, he could still walk. Many a times, we let our problems overwhelm us. We may just hurt in the hand, why can't we move forward? Our legs are fine!
And Jesus want us to give Him our withered hand. Withered means dry, burn out or dying.
Take a step of faith, and believe God to turn around your past hurts and broken dream!
That's what I'm going to do!
Tomorrow is the last day of ICT. 2 weeks just flew past like that.
Yeah! Can dump my No 4 far far away after that.
