Oh, forgot to mention that we got another free upgrade to the Lagoon Bungalow. Because they did not receive the internet booking for the deluxe room, and it's all full for the night. The room rate cost more than twice! And we got a bigger room with a lounge. There was also a nice jacuzzi in the bathroom. This is life.

The bungalows are all facing the lagoon. The view was splendid and there is a veranda with deck chairs to chill out.

Most of the inhabitants of Vanuatu are native Melanesian, or Ni-Vanuatu.

We headed to the local market in seach of Vanuatu food. I forgot the name of this dish, but it taste rather yummy. Especially the vegetables that wrap the bananas. The chicken wing on it has a melt in your mouth texture.

A close up of this ugly looking, but tasty dish.

This is another tasty one. Its almost like rice dumpling, but its made of tapioca. And it's got minced beef stuffing inside. Really good.

Eliss gives it finger licking good approval.

They eat chap chye beng (rice with side dishes) also! But the flavour is so different. The curry chicken is out of this world, man! Slightly sweet, with a hint of spice. The ikan guning (small fish) is deliciously fresh, without the fishy smell at all.

The coconuts here are so small, but so sweet! The old lady just used the knife to slice a small hole at the bottom, instead of a cutting into a pyramid shape at the top and open it. And no straws provided, ok?

Interestingly, we didn't see any male running the stores. All the hawkers are female! What are the guys doing, man?

That's the Pacific Ocean. A nice stroll after the heavy lunch with the sea breeze against your face. What more can you ask for?

The little boy sure needs a new hairstylist.

There were makeshift stores by the coast. I don't think they come in different cup sizes.

A nice stubby of ice cold made in Vanuatu Tusker Beer to chill off the warm weather.

He doesn't seemed too pleased, ya? But he is too young for a beer.

The water there is so crystal clear and clean, you can see all sorts of fish at shallow water.

Have you seen live cuttlefish before? This is my first time, only eaten the dried versions.

This place looked and sounded quite dodgy. The crowd is rowdy and mainly Aussies, all high on alcohol.

This appetiser is apparently a traditional dish. It's almost like a spring roll with minced beef inside. Rather tasty.

This steak is prepared using organic beef. A dollop of Bearnaise sauce give the flavour another dimension.

This place has one of the best ambience. Its by the marina and the cocktails are really potent.

The Pina Colada was so strong, I couldn't finish the whole glass.

The love of my life. I will miss her so much when I am back alone in Singapore.

She will be back on the 11th of June. 3 more weeks to go!

The char-grilled prime ribs was meaty and moist.

The night scene was beautiful, and coupled with the live jazz band playing as the backdrop. Welcome to life!

A perfect way to end the day.
