Went to Bondi Junction this afternoon for lunch with Eliss.

Another mall run by Westfields. They seemed to be the only one running this business here. Monopoly through and through.

Weather was great, and everyone was heading for the beach. But not us, we want to escape from the sun.

Man shoots himself in groin, crashes car (July 29, 2006 - 7:29PM)

A man died after accidentally shooting himself in the groin while driving his car, causing him to smash into a power pole in Melbourne.

Police say it appears the 38-year-old man was carrying a loaded firearm, which accidentally discharged.

The accident happened on the Mornington-Tyabb Road, opposite the Tyabb airfield, on the Mornington Peninsula.

The man's body was found in the wreckage by a passer-by before 10am (AEST) but police do not know the time of the accident.

What the?!

ROME: The Italian Mafia made €89 million ($148 million) a day last year through protection rackets, bribes and illegal money lending, a report says.

The SOS Impresa report, which is compiled from government figures, showed Italy's four main criminal syndicates even managed to collect €36 million a day from large companies listed on the Milan stock exchange.

Revenues for the Mafia, which comprises the Cosa Nostra in Sicily, the 'Ndrangheta in Calabria, the Camorra in Campania and the Sacra Corona Unita in Puglia, were up 25 per cent in 2005 to €2 billion compared with 2004.

The new turnover - which excludes income from drugs and gun-running - puts the Mafia on a par with Fiat and Enel, two of the country's largest companies.

Moral of the story? To be really good at what you do, even if it's really bad (pun intended). Haha!

I'm kidding.

Good night, folks! Have a great Sunday.
