Just in case you were not sure where to turn to to check for oncoming traffic.

Went to town with Eliss specially today to open a bank account with HSBC. I had everything, except my passport! Argh! Have to go again next week.

It was a crazy afternoon as they rejected Eliss's proof of address. Eliss spent like $7 to get it printed out from St George Bank, and someone from the bank made a mistake and just cancelled it out.

So we had to go back to St George to print another one. After a long walk to the Pitt Street branch, the teller wanted to charge us again! Ridiculous!

We argued and got them to print for us FOC in the end. Man! Had to rush back to HSBC and everything was settled at 5pm sharp.

This ramen place was jam packed at dinner time. Eliss and I had to wait for more than 20min before we got our table. We were both very hungry after all the drama which happened earlier.

My stomach was crying out non stop to be fed.

I ordered the Traditional Ramen with Tofu. The soy based stock was stupendous, and the noodles were cooked to just the nice al dente texture. I loved the hard boiled egg, which was cooked in another soy based stock for many hours beforehand. It was liked the Japanese version of our "law nen" (hard boiled egg in soy sauce).

After the meal, I was so inspired to learn how to cook the authentic ramen, we went grocery shopping at Miracle for some Japanese ingredients.

Her boss called and invited us for a second round of makan session. It was at their favourite BBQ City. Eliss tried to tempt me with a kimchi pancake. And she succeeded.

Jacq, Rex's new kid on the block enjoying her first Korean BBQ in Sydney.

The Korean seafood hotpot had many gems inside, including fish, squid, blue swimmer crabs and scallops. I had most of the tofu and vegetables inside. I wanted to eat meat so badly!

We headed to a nearby pub for a game of pool. Irwin, Eliss's GM trying to bury the ball at the bottom left pocket. We were challenging a pair of Aussies.

The Aussie did not give chance and concentrated hard at the ball. His partner looked on with his beer on hand.

Jacq did Singapore proud with the tie breaker, as Ben cheered and jumped with anticipation.

Shae, Eliss's immediate superior hit the sweet spot and sent the blue ball straight into the pocket.

It was disheartening seeing the Singaporean team did not do as well at the table. It would had been worse if I was in the team.

Shae cozied up with a picture perfect smile.

I saw this really cheeky ad for a brand of fruit bar. The private parts of the pole dancing model had mosaic for modesty. It was hilarious! Aussie humour at its best.

Time to go home, a very long day indeed!
