Congratulations to Yue Yue! He had just been awarded with a Bachelor of Engineering. I had the honour to shoot the whole graduation ceremony. The sky is the limit now!

Do you remember the day when you received that piece of paper from the uni's chancellor and you thought that we were all set to face the real world?

Well, think again.

How many of us are doing something which is not related to your course of study? How many of us are feeling under utlilised, or even over utilised?

The truth of the matter is, it all boils down to personal expectation and social norm.

What is your impression of the construction worker down the road? Or the night filler at NTUC?

"Aiyo, boy ar! See, if you don't study hard, you will be like one of them"

Doesn't this sound so oh familiar in Singapore?

So, what will you be if you studied hard? Don't get me wrong, I'm all out for tertiary education. We just have to know that we must respect people of all occupations, regardless of education levels.

Most Singaporeans are just too proud for their own good.

So please, just for your information, the biggest earners now in Australia are the plumbers, builders and carpenters. They own vintage sports cars and boats.

So who is laughing now?
