We spent the afternoon at Glebe, with the original intention to visit the weekend market in the grounds of Glebe Primary School.

In the end we ended up strolling the main shopping strip.

It was so cute! The dog was staring hungrily at the cold cabinet of yummy cakes before its owner led it away.

I noticed this "Air Conditioner On" notice of at the entrance of this Chinese restaurant.

You mean to say you turn it off when you don't feel like it. Or we should be glad that it was turned on today?

What the?!

We went to root for Raymond at Well Connected Cafe, where he gave a talk on a philosophy topic.

The topic was Relativism: feet firmly planted in mid air.

This mental image just came up when I saw those words. I missed NBA so much, man.

A pretty cup of latte for a start to warm the chilly Spring evening.

We were there a bit early, so Eliss did her famous number inspired poses for me. You go, girl!

From what I understand, relativism is a family of views whose common theme is that experience, thought, evaluation, or even reality is relative to something else.

For example standards of justification, moral principles or truth are relative to language, culture, or biological makeup.

A student, who introduced himself as a future barrister (or barista) in training saw the ad at by the staircase and joined in for a lively discussion. He really had a lot of opinion, I tell you.

After the talk, I personally feel that moral values is a built in mechanism in all of us. It's hard to explain by science on how it came about or developed. Easiest way to explain: God did it to let man do self check.

Why do I feel guilty after eating orh lua (oyster omelette)?

We were off to Jess's place for a gathering. Before that, we went to Coles to get mint leaves, and realised that they didn't carry.

Then, we rushed to buy a roast duck. Sold out.

Wah piang! Money is really not everything, some times.

Finally found the duck at another restaurant and struggled slight with directions to the party venue.

You know you came to the right place with a sight like this.

I felt like I was attending the World Gourmet Summit (WGS) with a menu set to tantalise even the most seasoned taste buds.

A three-week festival, the epicurean event is held annually at leading food establishments from all over Singapore. Renowned chefs from around the globe will be flown into showcase their fair in the art.

The lethal Sangria in the making, a fortified wine of Spanish origin.

A chef's creation, yet to be named.

Oven baked ocean trout with herbs.

How about a homemade tiramisu for a birthday cake for Zhiyuan?

Eh, hello! How come you make wish with your eyes open ar?

The WGS delegates.

Thank you Jess for your warm hospitality. And to the birthday girl who made this event possible.
