We touched down at Christchurch for our epic journey in search of the Ring. Not the one that you wear on your pinkie, but the sound that comes out from your mobile. Yup, there was no reception for our mobile phone running on Optus Prepaid, and we are must find the place with one.

This will be our quest: The Fellowship of the Ring!

We have received this secret map that provided the possible places that we will find the Ring.

As we only had 8 days for this mission, we will cover as much ground as we can.

Pray for us!

We rented our Micro Campervan and raced to towards the sunset.

We drove over mountains and valleys, and was greeted by this magnificent sight.

All these cute little fluffy clouds with a face and legs made us really hungry. Lamp chops!

We made a quick stopover at Pak'n Save, a warehouse supermarket to grab some ration to last through the journey.

If you looked closely at the picture above, you will realise that I'm holding on 2 packets of UHT Goat Milk, the green packet being the reduced fat version. Ewww...

We stopped for the night at Lake Tekapo, which is the largest of 3 parallel lakes of the Mackenzie Basin.

After a nice hot shower, which cost $2 for 10mins at the holiday park, we shared some delicious KFC at the communal kitchen.

It was a challenge to set up our sleeping place in the dark, and we had to use our mobile phones as torchlight.

This place probably has the most beautiful sky at night with millions of stars twinkling above our head as we dozed off into Lalaland.
