Happy birthday Mum! I wish you good health and may all your wishes comes true!
Every kids loves Ribena. Adults swear by its distinct flavour as a mixer to vodka.
And did your mum tell you it's good for you because it has 4 times more vitamins than orange, as what their ad claimed?
Well, 2 Kiwi high school students Anna Devathasan and Jenny Suo tested the drink and found the syrup contained almost no trace of vitamin C, and 1 commercial orange juice brand contained almost 4 times more than Ribena.
Oops! Does that mean that we have been conned all these years?
GSK, which owns Ribena now faces 15 charges related to misleading advertising in an Auckland court, risking potential fines of up to $NZ3 million ($2.65 million.
A classic case of now you "C" it, now you don't.
This is too much for me! Who says crime doesn't pay?
Not if you are Naomi Campbell, who was sentenced in January to 5 days of community service after pleading guilty to throwing a mobile phone at a former assistant.
What pissed me off was that her punishment was served as the basis of a fashion shoot for the magazine W, in which she was paid between $US50,000 and $US60,000 a day for serving her sentence in the latest fox and lynx jackets, cashmere knits, stretch trousers and spike-heeled patent-leather boots.
Some people can just get away with everything.
We headed back to Newtown Thai to celebrate Yen's birthday.
Everyone was impressed with the quality and the quantity of the food the chef whipped out.
Eliss and I giving Yen a little something to make her day a bit more special.
After that, we went home to ambush Yen, who was diverted to another location by her other colleagues.
We surprised her with a rose shaped cake, just as she walked through the front door.
She was so happy and planted a kiss on us.
Happy (actual) birthday, Yen!
