Happy Good Friday!
In case you are wondering how Easter comes about, you'll be sad to know it has nothing to do with colourful eggs and bunnies.

We took our car for a long distance drive today to Hunter Valley.
The journey there was a nightmare as the road was jammed almost all the way towards Newcastle.
We stopped at the Pokolbin area for some lunch before heading for some wine tasting.
The restaurant served pretty good food, but with an unusual concept of Japanese and Thai food.
The Botrytis range of dessert wine was all the rage today for some reason at Tempus Two.
Do you know that the Botrytis fuckeliana (what a name) is a fungus?
The fungus which causes the "noble rot" removes water from the grapes, leaving behind a higher percent of solids, such as sugars, fruit acids and minerals.
This results in a more intense, concentrated final product. The wine is often said to have an aroma of honeysuckle and a bitter finish on the palate.
It was too sweet for us, so we got some Muscat instead, often regarded to be one of the world's greatest fortified wines.
We headed off to Hungerford Hill for more of the good stuff.
After sampling, Eliss decided on some Verdelho, which was also grown throughout Portugal, before being successfully harvested here.
