When my Indian friend told me that there is a restaurant at Rockdale serving Indian Chinese Food, I had no idea what he was talking about.

The most Indian Chinese food in Singapore was probably Indian Rojak. He said the place that he went had an Indian chef cooking Chinese style stir fry.

This I got to try.

Well, here we are at Shanghai Moon (previously known as Bombay Chinese).

You don't find Indians in Chinese restaurants usually, but this place has got quite a few.

Really curious how the food taste like.

We specifically ordered dodgy sounding dishes, like Manchurian Chicken. Just in case, we also had the usual deep fried egg plant and fried noodles. Eliss wanted a bowl of hot and sour soup for starters.

The food was not as what we imagined to be. We were expecting them to be spicy and curry like. They turned out to be quite normal, but not exactly very "Chinese" tasting as well.

Except Chinese tea. How wrong can one get with this, ya?

Food was not impressive, probably more suitable for the Indian palette.

We still prefer tradtional Indian favourites like Butter Chicken, Palak Paneer and Beef Vandaloo, anytime!
