The weekend is finally here!
We had a Singaporean ladies favourite dish for breakkie, bee hoon (rice vermicelli) with fish.
Succulent pieces of dory were lightly marinated with pepper, soy and sesame oil, and later painstakingly deep fried in sunflower oil for that golden brown crisp.
The fish stock was simmered in low flame with dried anchovies (ikan bilis) and garlic.
For the finishing touches, fresh tomatoes were added to give that extra sweetness.
We had onion omelet as accompaniment to the sumptuous dish.
In the afternoon, I went for drama rehearsal for the upcoming Fun Fair at church next week. Let me know if you would like to come to see my virgin attempt to act.
It's going to be really funny, I tell you! You don't get me to see me clown on stage very often.
Pastor John Ollis gave a word in season at the Praise and Worship seminar held in the evening.
Noticed his batik shirt? He is very involved with ministry within South East Asia, working closely with City Harvest Church.
His singlish (Singapore English) is really funny too.
I'm a huge fan of House. And thanks to Ollie, she shared with me about Hugh Laurie's earlier works. Totally different from the doctor role that he is playing now.

This clip rocks. Watch it again - the homosexual japs are funnier, because Stephen Fry is gay.
