Used condoms are being recycled into hair bands in southern China, threatening to spread sexually-transmittable diseases if people hold them in their mouths while tying their hair into plaits or buns.
They have been found in local markets and beauty salons in Dongguan and Guangzhou cities in southern Guangdong province.
Yucks! Better check your rubber bands and keep them away from your mouth.
