After my game of soccer, Anya brought us to try out cuisine from Xinjiang (Uyghur: شىنجاڭ, Chinese: 新疆).

شىنجاڭ is a large, sparsely populated area which takes up about 1/6 of the country's territory.

It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region to the south, Mongolia to the east, Russia to the north, and Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and the Pakistan to the west.

The people living there are mostly Uyghurs and don't look like Chinese at all. The music sounds very inspired from the Middle East. Have a look at the video.

Just in case you think 新疆 is just about tribal people living in villages, you are very wrong.

The food came in huge portions.

The tender pieces of chicken was cooked in a curry-like sauce, without the coconut milk.

Their lamb soup was light, without the smell as you would expect it to carry.

The meat skewers were beautifully marinated, with a hint of Turkish flavours.

It was really good.

Food fight!

No one will believe you finished everything on your own, Anya.

When I came out of the shower, Eliss surprised me with an expensive present from Gucci.

It was a wallet! I've never owned a designer wallet before.

Ever since I know her, all my wallets were gifts from her. When she found out that the last Braun Buffel she gave me is falling apart, she got the Gucci secretly.

Knowing that I'll probably put the wallet back into the box, Eliss made me transfer everything over from the old wallet.

Thank you, dear.
