Just before you ask me what I'll be doing with Eliss not around, I don't have to think much as I got to work on the weekend.

Yes, we do work on weekends in Australia.

ViewSonic is involved with Atomic LIVE this year, and I had to go and help out as a few of my colleagues can't make today.

It is basically an all-day IT fest filled with the latest gadgets targeted at gamers.

We had quite a large booth and worked with another vendor for the first time.

They hooked up their laptops to our LCD monitors. I thought this partnership is such a great idea.

You can't believe the number of people who came.

It was a geek paradise.

Some even do cosplay and came dressed as their favourite characters in the video games.

I met a gang of Star Wars fans, so are apparently in the circuit for many years.

Check out the ViewSonic birds on the Storm Trooper. Free advertising.

At first, I thought some of these people are weird. I mean, you should be old enough to know that the virtual world should remain that way, why do you still want to dressed up like that?

I had a chat with them, and understand that they take hobby very seriously. They are also members for some international club for fellow Star Wars cosplayers and exchange information regularly.

They even go help out to some hospital events to give out presents to sick kids. How many of you have actually done that?

I apologise for being so stereotypical.

I love the pistol so much and used to collect ones like this when I was a kid.

I remembered the first time I went to Hong Kong with my parents, I got a black pistol which looked pretty realistic. Being young and all, I kept playing with it everyone I went, even when I was at the airport.

The police confiscated it before I could board the plane. He told me that he would courier it back to Singapore, but I never saw it again.

Sigh.

A female Jedi with purple light sabre? I thought only Mace Windu has one.

This Storm Trooper has the birds too. Guess who stuck them on him?

ATI's Ruby, in this case Rubies came to live at the event and I have no complaints.

The event wrapped up at 6pm and it was all good fun. Too tired to go anywhere, I just headed home and cooked some noodles for dinner.
