During every economy downturn, there are always opportunities available as well for those who are ready to take advantage of them.
I know my dad bought the house we used to lived in at a bargain during the Gulf War.
Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums for big cars (1,601cc and above) in Singapore hit rock bottom at $200 a piece.
The COE of the '01 Honda Civic I used to drive cost about 10 times more. I paid $60,000 for the car then.
If I go back Singapore to work, maybe I should ship my Skyline back as well.
After hearing how good it was, I finally managed to get hold of Ip Man.
I was mesmerized by the Wing Chun (永春) fight choreography by Sammo Hung.
Legend says that Wing Chun was created by a young woman, Yim Wing Chun. She used this to defeat the warlord who wanted to force her to marry him.
She later married her sweetheart and taught him the style, which he names after her.
I reckon Donnie Yen is really good in this role as a the cultured rich man's son, who happens to be a really good martial artist.
He spent months preparing for the role, by going on a strict diet which consisted of mainly vegetables and eating one meal a day, training in Wing Chun. He even went as far as to stay in character after filming, wearing his costume and changing his voice and movement patterns.
