This is it, the day that I've been waiting for.
As part of the entry requirement, I went for the interview for the Certificate IV in Photoimaging at TAFE Ultimo.
The campus is very nice and very convenient as it's just next to Chinatown.
I like this place. The idea of being a student again is so refreshing. Although only as a part time "mature" student, I don't really mind.
I was the 66th candidate of the day. The interviewer told me this course is very competitive. A lot of the candidate that came today were the ones who couldn't make it into the full time course.
I prepared a portfolio of 12 photographs, and some of my freelance work. His face remain emotionless, so I couldn't tell if he is impressed with them or not.
I'll know the if I'm in or not on Wednesday afternoon. I didn't expect a course like this to be this hard to get in.
I mean, it's photography for goodness sake, not law or medicine.
Check out the icons on this tshirt! If can you identify all of them (like me), you are probably geeky enough to wear one too.
If you are also a photography buff, and shopping for a dSLR now, check out this link for a buying guide.
