I heard from so many friends that their PCs has been infected by the W32.Blaster.Worm (aka W32/Lovsan.worm.a [McAfee], Win32.Poza.A [CA], Lovsan [F-Secure], WORM_MSBLAST.A [Trend], W32/Blaster-A [Sophos], W32/Blaster [Panda], Worm.Win32.Lovesan [KAV])
If your PC is infected, you may try the follwing steps.
Download the FixBlast.exe file from:
Save the file to a convenient location, such as your downloads folder or the Windows Desktop (or removable media that is known to be uninfected, if possible).
Close all the running programs before running the tool. If you are running Windows XP, then disable System Restore. Refer to the section, "System Restore option in Windows XP," for additional details.
Double-click the FixBlast.exe file to start the removal tool.
Click Start to begin the process, and then allow the tool to run.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: If, when running the tool, you see a message that the tool was not able to remove one or more files, run the tool in Safe mode. Shut down the computer, turn off the power, and wait 30 seconds. Restart the computer in Safe mode and then run the tool again. All the Windows 32-bit operating systems, except Windows NT, can be restarted in Safe mode. For instructions, read the document "How to start the computer in Safe Mode."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Restart the computer.
Run the removal tool again to ensure that the system is clean.
If you are running Windows XP, then re-enable System Restore.
Run LiveUpdate to make sure that you are using the most current virus definitions
Hope this helps.
On MC today, stomach upset. Hate it cos I have run to the toilet so many times these 2 days and have to eat bland food. Well, I guess it's a nice change from my daily hotel buffet lunch.
Just found out that although water is extremely important in preventing dehydration, it does not contain electrolytes. To maintain electrolyte levels, you could have broth or soups, which contain sodium, and fruit juices, soft fruits, or vegetables, which contain potassium.
It's really great to know that almost everyone in my division are believers. Thank God that He has placed me in such a good place where even the manager sms me to take care of myself and by God's stride, I'm healed. Really blessed to have these colleagues.
Tomorrow is the weekend, what to do? Every week just wizzed past just like that.
