Just came back from service not too long ago, had some guests with me earlier. Pst Robb preached a very practical sermon today on the 10 kind of people we can't help. This came in really handy as I just met up with a friend yesterday who needs some help from me. But he wasn't exactly prepared, and beat about the bush for a long time before telling me his objective. Time is precious, so please get straight to the point.
If YOU are reading this, no offence.
Went to Orchard to shop with my Eliss. It's been a while since we last shop there. A lot of changes. especially Paragon. Yeah, it's still flodded with Gucci and Versace, but the basement is so much better now. Lots of places to eat, but be prepared to spend a bit for the good food there.

I hope you've not been conned by any of these buggers before. If you have, please offer your feedback.
Eliss treated me to a lovely dinner of soba with roasted duck. The soup is really unconventional, definitely not to a typical Singaporean palette. But it's really good. Then we just walked along Orchard Road, enjoying the night sights and sounds. Do quite a bit of people watching too.
Noticed a group of Malays who dressed in a very wierd way. They wore tight jeans cut the ankle, Doc Martens boots, checked shirt with suspenders. And all of them skinheads.
Anybody going into JB? Can help me buy FIFA 2004?
Nike's Laser Project shoes were released this week in Europe, Australia and the USA. The Dunk Lo was released in the States; Europe and Australia saw the release of the Cortez. Only 200 pairs of each model have been produced, and each pair is individually numbered. Laser was used to burn the designs on the leather. There are the "Line Burn", "Solid Burn" and "Fill Burn".
The Nike 'White Dunk' exhibition opened this week in Paris. Click on the banner to see the entire collection. If not, here are previews...
Hajime Sorayama has been working as a freelance illustrator since 1972, creating art in the form of everything from sexy robots to realistic pin ups. His impression of Nike, the goddess of victory.
Visited my grandmother again. Bought her some of her favourite wanton mee soup and a roasted chicken drumbstick. She looked much older and frail. As she tucked into her food, she started to share about how her daughter in law treated her. She hasn't eat meat for quite a while. Her usual meals are veges, toufu with soy sauce and other vegetarian food. She recalls how my late grandfather used to buy back meat for her to cook her specialiaty dao ghee ba (stir fried pork with soy sauce). I really liked that dish, there the meat is tender and the sauce potent.
Come on, give her a break. She so old already, still have to follow "that woman" appetite and choice of food. I told myself that I'll buy her all the food that she loves. That aunt really pissed me off. Bullying an old lady...
Went with Eliss to a nice place to eat near her house. They serve local delights at quite a reasonable price. The main thing is that it's by the sea and they serve cheap booze. We chatted as the waves hit against the platform. Slowly, lightning flashed and thunder growled. Rain began to splatter on the once calm sea. The melody of it all really sets the mood, reminding of the scenes from Pirates of the Carribean. The sound of the howling winds, and the loud splashes of the waves made it such a wonderful evening as we chill out away over a mug of ice cold Tiger.
Went to the Aussie website again to compare pricing. It costs $56630, compared to our price of $142000. A difference of $85370 (this saving can buy a Honda Civic here, man)! Better save up and drive in Brisbane, cruising along the highway to Harbourtown.
Click on the WRX STi to hear its sexy growl...
