Just came back from a wonderful dinner at Haig Road Market. This place has a nostalgic feeling as CHC used to be located near there. The fish ball noodles quality remained unchanged after all these while.
Something interesting happened. As we were eating, I noticed a Thai national dozed off at the opposite table. He seemed to be having a great nap before he just fainted to the ground. All were shocked, but did nothing. Singaporean what.
All of us just waited to see who will go and wake him up. After several minutes, a guy went up and shook him a little. But he was still lying there. He even turned to his side when the guy shook him harder. Confirm a drunkard.
The floor was peppered with litter everywhere, I think there is even a chicken wing bone just beside him.
The police came shortly. They went to him and shook him, and he surprisingly stood up. A miracle!
I was hoping he will turn violent or something, but it went a very peacefully. The police just jot down his particulars and let him go. Sian.
Was rollerblading earlier with W and C. It's the first time that we do this together, and I must say I had a really good time. The sea breeze against your face somehow removes all sorts of trouble.
The East Coast hawker centre changed a lot after its renovation. I still prefer its original look. And I can't find my fave wanton mee stall!
I'm very happy as S accepted my invitation and came to the Easter service. A lot of friends I invited were all too busy.
The service was great, especially the drama team. I like the story based on the 2 thieves perspective. If you've watched Passion of the Christ, you would know there were 2 others crucified together with Jesus Christ.
One of them repented at the cross and Jesus told him that he is saved and will see him in paradise together. The scene had him dressed in a white, with other angels in heaven... abd Jesus joined him later for a hug. It was a beautiful sight.
The other was cast down to hell, tormented by the flames.
Where do you like to be when you pass over? That's the question I ask myself when I watched a similar service several years ago before I gave my heart to Jesus Christ.
After the service, we went to Esplanade area to take some photos. We took leak at Fullerton Hotel, and noticed the basin was the same one as CHC. Woah.
Managed to take quite a few pictures of night shots of Esplanade, which looked much better than the day. We chatted at One Fullerton area till about midnight when she had to leave for somewhere else.
Eliss and I continued to search for supper and ended up at Maxwell Market. We tucked into the heavenly Poh Kee Hokkien Fried Prawn Mee. I reckon this is the best in Singapore.
Look forward to this at midweek.
