Greetings from the City of Angels! After a butt flatting flight of 22hrs, this is it!
All went well, except that one of my colleagues got detained by the custom. Why? Because he is a Malaysian. I heard that in that rooms, there were a few others from Muslim countries (with long beard kind). Better to be safe than sorry, US style.
We decided not to wait for him after an hour, only leaving the tour guide to wait, while we headed for the hotel to rest.
Along the way to the hotel, the tour guide mentioned that Downtown Disney was just a stone throw away from the hotel. Wow! After we put our bags in our rooms, we took the hotel shuttle bus and boy, what a beautiful place it was!
A lot of cheerleaders were walking around there, so I reckon the National Cheerleading Championship was help around there.
The World of Disney store was stocked with everything Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy et al. The store is huge and the things are not cheap in there.
Gazing into the crystal ball and saw my future home.
One of the interesting stores was stocked up with funny flavoured jelly beans. Wanted to buy a bag to try, but the queue was such a kill (pun unintended). There were other stores selling Quiksilver, Mexican takeaways, sunnies, basically a haven for retail theraphy.
Dinner was served at the swanky Rodeo Drive, I feel like a star!
Seems that I'm not the only one!
Even the Versace boutique looked like the Colosseum! How cool is that?
It was drizzling slightly on the way up the beautiful moonlit street. No wonder the rich and famous want to be seen here. I don't mind the rain at all!
This is the place! McCormick & Shimick's. Glorious seafood awaits!
I had to try the exotic Mahi Mahi, or dolphin fish. It's from the South America and the Caribbean. Exotic.
Well, this is how it was like before ending up on the plate.
