Good Saturday! What a way to wake up to some home made Eggs Benedict, sans the ham. It has however sauteed herb mushrooms as a substitute. Not a bad exchange at all!

The egg white was not as pretty as I wanted because I didn't have any vinegar at home to add into the water. Now you know the secret to make the perfect poached egg, eh?

Went to the Nike Factory Outlet at Auburn finally, after much procrastination. On the way there, I wasn't sure if I was on the right track with the sun shining straight into my eyes. Eliss had to go somewhere so I was driving alone. Had to juggle the street directory on the left hand, and with the right hand on the wheel.

There were stretches of second hand car yards at both sides of the road. Most of them were quite ex, except for a pretty FTO for $7999.

It was a long drive from Mascot, about an hour in fact. Although it was less than 20 km away.

The pricing was not as attractive as US. Sneakers here on average cost around $90, with Air Max 360s going for around $200. Out of my budget, reckon that I would have to run in my SAF provided Brooks Maximus for the time being.

Was there for around 1.5 hrs but couldn't bear to buy anything. Managed to get a nice jacket for Eliss just before the shop closes at 6pm, which she liked it very much. Yeah!

We went to a nice grilled fish dinner at Surry Hills. The place is really small, and the business was very good. A lot of the regulars were sent to the pub opposite to wait for their tables. And all of them were very willing to do so.

Eliss had grilled barrumundi with mash potatoes.

I had grilled rudder fish with mango salsa on potato gratin, accompanied by some salad greens. The fish has rather firm flesh, and has a spicy after taste. Interesting flavour.

After dinner, we went to Newtown. It was very vibrant in the evening, with many diners checking out the international gastronomical spread.

There were also a lot of boutiques selling independent brands and the owner's creation. They also had the most interesting book shops, selling quirky reading materials and the weirdest toys. I liked the voodoo doll that acts as a toothpick holder.

The gay community was going on a strike tomorrow about the legal rights to get married. Gonna get bitchy for sure!
