Had dinner with Pastor John tonight. We were joined by Jake, James and Sharon. We went to this vegetarian place called Mother Chu (Chu Ma Ma) in the city.
The silver haired lady was there herself and kept smiling at us.
This is my first time to a vegetarian restaurant in Sydney. I only had vegetarian food when I went to pay respect to my late grandfather at the temple. Before I was a believer of course.
And I must say that the food here is not too bad! Trust a carnivore to when he says that.
One of the topics we discussed was about mobile phone plans. You know back in Singapore, most of us will sign a post paid plan? But over here, a pre paid plan is much better. Lots of flexibility, and no strings attached. The only attraction is the free mobile phone that comes along with it.
I'm happy that Eliss bought me a Nokia 6131 before I came over. Super satisfied.
Today marked the beginning of August. 2/3 of the year is gone and what have we accomplished so far?
For me, the biggest thing is surely the move to Sydney. It was definitely a leap of faith to let go of all the comfortable things back home. You know, God is more interested in our character than our comfort?
I'm still feeling very good about my decision. I'm living out my dream.
Pastor John sent me back on his car. Man, I loved his GPS (Global Positioning System)! You just punch in the starting point and the destination, the system will plan the best route and guide you there. A sweet sounding lady voice will tell you where to turn and stuff.
No more getting lost! This should implemented on all taxis, so we know that the cabbies are going on the shortest routes.
I'm still stuck on my banking research. The saving plans and term deposits here are simply too many to choose from. Sheesh. Not that I've got a million bucks to invest, I just want to stretch my limited dough further.
I miss Eliss, hope she comes back soon.
