The Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated earlier today for abundance and togetherness, dating back over 3,000 years to China's Zhou Dynasty. In Korean: Chuseok; Vietnamese Tet Trung Thu; also known as the Moon Festival, Mooncake Festival, or the August Moon Festival. In Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia, the Lantern Festival.

Someone asked me today whether can we buy mooncake in Australia. I want to ask you whether Singapore is selling an 8 egg yolks version or not?
Have you heard about the story of the rabbit that was always beside Chang E? I thought it was hilarious.
In this legend, three fairy sages transformed themselves into pitiful old men, and begged for food from a fox, a monkey, and a hare (what the?!). The fox and the monkey both had food to give to the old men, but the hare, empty-handed, jumped into a blazing fire to offer his own flesh instead.
The sages were very thankful for the meat and ate it but the sages were so touched by the hare's sacrifice and act of kindness that they let him live in the Moon Palace, where he became the "Jade Rabbit".

All of us were very hungry for dinner, so we had some Emperor's Puff (cream puff) before dinner.

Yue highly recommended this beef brisket noodles at Dixon House Food Court, just beside Market city.
I liked the pasta textured noodles and the succulent brisket, tender enough to melt in your mouth.

After dinner, we went to Bondi, where we could see a panoramic view of Sydney city on the hill.

Sydney looked so pretty on this full moon night.

The colourful lanterns lit up the rather dark park.

It was a cloudy night, so had to play hide and seek with the moon.

I mucked around with the Rex team and had mooncake and Chinese tea under the starless sky.

My lantern caught fire when the wind blew it to the ground.
Reckon I would be better off with a battery operated version.

Looking back from the time I came here 2.5 months ago, life had been challenging. And I'm loving every minute of it.

This may sound a bit spooky, but I do not know who was behind Eliss when I took this shot...
