It felt good to sleep in till about 10am today, as I was on the 6am shift the whole week.
Many of you had been asking me about my work. Well, I'm getting more used to it now. It helped when the colleagues here really worked as a team. Things get done fast and we go home on the dot.
The manager and I clique well, and she encouraged me quite a bit. She shared that she understand it was not easy for someone to quit a good paying job back home and start afresh as a deli assistant.
Oh well, everybody has their individual path to take. Who knows how this will lead me?
Dinner today was the classic Steamed Mussel in White Wine Sauce.
Make sure the mussels are the black variety, the green ones are inferior. I used chardonnay, which was dry and slightly acidic for the base.
