Yeah! I have 2 off days back to back this week. What a relief!

Wanted to go window shopping in the city initially, went napping on the sofa in the end instead. It was not a bad substitute.

I was woken up by the reflection of the sunlight into my eyes. I quickly ran out to my corridor and caught this. It is coming to the third month since I left Singapore on a jet plane, and don't know when I'm going back again.

I hope to find my pot of gold nearby. It has been slow in my full time job hunting here.

I got a feedback from a friend that how come I'm not cooking Asian nowadays. So tonight, I'm having mee sua ba kut teh (pork spare ribs cooked in a herbal soup with rice vermicelli).

I like my soup really hot, so I added heaps of cracked black pepper.

After dinner, we went to catch the Oliver Stone's production, starring my favourite Nicholas Cage.

The World Trade Center (WTC) in New York City was a complex of 7 buildings, mostly designed by Japanese American architect Minoru Yamasaki and developed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Prior to 911, the WTC North Tower was beset by a fire, which burned at temperatures in excess of 700°C on the eve of Valentine's Day for over 3 hours and spread over some 65 percent of the 11th floor.

On 26/2/93, a Ryder truck filled with 682 kg of explosives was planted by Ramzi Yousef and detonated in the underground garage of the North Tower, opening a 30 m hole through 4 sublevels of concrete. 6 people were killed and over a thousand injured.

On 11/9/01, Al Qaeda suicide hijackers, used American Airlines Flight 11 and crashed into the North Tower Another plane. A United Airlines Flight 175 was used to crash into the South Tower, which subsequently collapsed.

30 minutes later, the North Tower also collapsed. For the following 8½ months, the WTC site cleanup and recovery continued 24 hours a day and involved thousands of workers. The massive pile of debris smoked and smoldered for 99 days.

The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, the agency charged with coordinating the reconstruction of the World Trade Center site, which includes the 541m Freedom Tower.

The completed new World Trade Center as it may look in 2012.
