It was a very warm day here in Sydney. I was sweating like a pig as I rollerbladed to work today. Even the wind blowing on my face was hot.

Weather is expected to climb to 38°C tomorrow. Looks like summer is REALLY coming this time, after the very confused weather for the past few weeks.

It was super busy at work today. My brain was set to auto pilot mode and everything seems to be a blur, and before I know it, it was time to go home.

Eliss came to pick me up to watch "The Prestige" with her colleagues at Bondi Junction, only to be disappointed that it was full house tonight. Sigh.

Ian Thorpe announced his retirement from competitive swimming today, at the ripe old age of 24.

Thorpedo is regarded as one of the greatest swimmers of all time after winning 11 world titles, 5 Olympic gold medals and setting 13 individual long-course world records.

When do you plan to retire? What do yo want to do as a retiree?

I never thought of retiring as to me, this word sounds like waiting to die.

I heard friends telling retiring means going to Australia and live on a quiet farm. Rear some animals and enjoy life.

Some tell me their dream place will be Switzerland, live in houses with snow capped mountains as the backdrop.

Why do we have to wait till 65 to do things, when we can do it now when we are young and fit?

Eliss and I have decided that we want to see the world together. Australia is just a small step of this journey.

We are not going to wait until we accomplish all the corporate ladder crap, have a fat CPF account and with our children busy with theirs, then we want to live life.

You only live once, and will you fall asleep watching your life played back on your memory?

Former Seinfeld star, Michael Richards, best known for playing Cosmo Kramer stunned a comedy club audience. His tirade apparently began after 2 black audience members started shouting at him that he wasn't funny.

He was shouting the n-word (nigger) at them, which is a derogatory termed used mainly on dark-skinned people, especially people of African ancestry.

I watched the clip on You Tube and he was really mean, man. I can't type out what he said as it was really offensive.

We, Singaporeans also have came out with many terms for other races, like Ang Mo, Kiao Tor and Mang Kali. Quite bad of us also.

I wonder what do people call us behind our back. I know some of us here were described as "fresh off the boat" by the Aussies. Sheesh, to think that most of us took planes, they are the one who came by boat in the past.

Irony of life.
