Happy 2007!

How was your new year's eve? We had such a wonderful time here at Down Under.

After a sumptuous dinner at Chinatown, we contemplated whether to squeeze with the rest of Sydney to watch the fireworks display at the Harbour Bridge.

In the end, what the heck... we just went ahead to Milsons Point to look for the perfect spot to spend NYE 06.

After squeezing past through thousands of people, we arrived at our spot. Only that it was taken up by some one else.

So we had no choice but to venture southwards to the water area.

And you know what, it was a really good spot. If felt like there were only 2 of us there, and we were quite far away from the rowdy crowd.

The count down clock was beamed onto the pylon and all of us were screaming... "5-4-3-2-1..."

The red question mark turned into a coathanger more than 100m wide on the harbour bridge. In 2 hours later, an illuminated diamond appeared to mark the bridge's jubilee year.

The fireworks started! It was so beautiful to see the dark sky lit up with fire flowers!

The the area at the Opera House lit up, casting a silhouette on the cruise ship. The crowd went hysterical!

More action went behind the Harbour Bridge, as flowers bloomed all over the sky.

Want to see what's happening at other countries at this time?

Spectators gather in front of the Eiffel tower in Paris.

The Millennium Wheel is lit up by fireworks in London.

Bulgarians watch laser beams as the New Year heralds in their entry into the European Union.

Fireworks burst over Berlin's Brandenburg Gate.

Fireworks explode over the Parthenon at the Acropolis hill in Athens.

One of ancient Beijing's watch towers is lit up to welcome in the new year.

Fireworks are launch from the 508m Taipei 101, the world's highest building.

The sky lights up over Kuala Lumpur's the Petronas Twin Towers.

It seemed that fireworks was the clear choice of celebration regardless of countries and cultures.

I pray that this will be the best year yet for everyone who is a regular supporter of my blog. I will continue to improve the content and style to keep you updated of things happening.
