We had the opportunity to use the brand new Land Cove Tunnel before we had start paying the $2.55 toll this morning.
It was really really quiet inside, perhaps people were confused with the road sign indicating that we got to have e tags before we could use the tunnel.
Along the highway, we witnessed a bizarre traffic accident where a container truck overturned from the other side of road and slided to our side. The vehicle was badly smashed and caused a huge jam towards the directions to the Blue Mountains.
We arrived at Leura shopped a bit while taking a breather from the long drive.
Lunch was taken at the Post Office Restaurant, which served the most awesome sirloin steak. You got to try this!
Eliss loved one the candle shops there and of course left there with hands filled.
I love autumn, and seeing those maple leaves turn crimson or scarlet. It's like the leaves are on fire, and yet it's peaceful.
We them moved on to Katoomba and put up at a motel for the night.
The dinner at one of the chinese restaurant was dreadful. The waitress was rude and food was oily. Not good at all.
Anyway, we left as soon as we could and watched cable in the motel room. It had been a while since we watched tv as the one in our apartment is not working.
Simple pleasures. Like my new piggy key chain.
