So good to have the day off!
I slept in till about 9.30am and lazed around the house.
Went online and felt so prehistoric having to use a dial up for internet access. Do you still remember the sound that the modem makes?
The Telstra people took more than 2 weeks to finally fix up the wireless network in the afternoon.
I'm deliberating to get a GPS or wait for the Nokia 6110 Navigator. The N95 costs too much at $1100 here.
Any suggestions which GPS is good? Tom Tom or Navman?
Awww... check out the dual surface court!
Organisers had laid down 1.5 ton of traditional Spanish red clay on one side of the court and 400 square metres of grass across the net.
On grass, Federer had beaten the Nadal in the last Wimbledon final for a 4th straight win on the surface.
Nadal has never won a grasscourt title whereas Federer has won 8, including 4 Wimbledons and the Swiss has recorded 48 match wins on the surface on a roll.
Nadal is the undisputed king of clay having won his 72nd straight match on the dirt in Barcelona on Sunday.
He also defeated Federer in the Monte Carlo Masters final a week earlier, as well as in the French Open final last year.
So who won this time?
Homeboy Rafael Nadal, of course! He edged Federer 7-5 4-6 7-6 (12-10) in this one-off €1.2 million ($2 million) exhibition match designed to promote tourism on Palma De Mallorca, Spain.
