When Liverpool FC renew ties with AC Milan on 23 May in Athens it will be the fifth time that two clubs have faced each other in more than one European Champion Clubs' Cup final.
Liverpool, who eliminated Chelsea on penalties on Tuesday, will meet Milan again as they brushed aside Manchester United in their semi-final 24hrs ago.
The Reds were the winners when the teams met in Istanbul in 2005.
On that unforgettable night, the Reds overturned a 3-0 half-time deficit and eventually triumphed on penalties to lift the European Cup for the 5th time.
Will the Reds do it again in 3 weeks time at the Olympic Stadium in Athens?
I believe so.
All the kind hearted souls out there in sunny Singapore please take note.
If anyone from the Children of Singapore Foundation, Children’s Leukemia Foundation, and Club Sunshine (previously known as Kids-In-Distress Foundation) come to ask you to drop a gold coin into the tin, call the police.
The Commissioner of Charities (COC) has been monitoring the 3 charities, which were de-registered since October 2006 due to serious irregularities and suspicious transactions in the administration.
All the 3 charities were set up by Mr Rajendren Rajamani.
Another organisation, the Kidney Fund Organisation (KFO), will not be granted charity status by the COC.
The KFO was set up with intentions to provide financial assistance to kidney patients and other needy patients with chronic illnesses in need of treatment.
However, bulk of the donations amounting to $110,000 in 2006, only a small fraction were disbursed to the beneficiaries, while 75% of the donations were used to pay for the engagement of a commercial fund-raising company, Amanah Fitrah.
That company is owned by the wife of the KFO President, while a trustee of KFO is also an employee!
Sleazy and slippery! Yuck! I hate people who take kindness for weakness.
Tonight is the premier of Spiderman 3! I'll be watching with the gang next Tues. Can't wait!
