Viva what?

Chinese budget carrier Viva Macau has confirmed plans to fly 3 services from Macau to Sydney by late July this year.

They also plan to launch services to Seoul and Osaka within the next 2 months, before launching services into Europe by the end of the year.

On its website yesterday, Viva was offering return flights from Macau to Jakarta for as low as $138 (including taxes) and the Maldives for $370.

Fares on the Sydney to Hong Kong route is expected to lower by at least 20% than Jetstar.

I say Viva! Viva! Viva!

We're heading back to Singapore for a 2 weeks holiday in about 3 weeks time.

Some may thought that we will be so busy meeting up with friends and all, and will not have time for them.

Not true at all. We're not going to meet every single soul we know in Singapore, just a few "good ones" will do.

A friend here said that I'm a freak magnet, when I told her the kind of people we know in Singapore that makes us very uncomfortable.

1) The "Wah, how much pay are you getting, ar?" friends

Why do you want to know? I'm probably earning more than you in the first place, since I'm earning Aussie dollars.

There are so many questions that you can ask when you haven't met a person for a long time.

eg "So, how are you adapting to Australian lifestyle?" or "What's the difference between living overseas and at home?"

You know, there are heaps more concern you can have for us besides our renumeration.

2) The "We miss you, hope you come back soon" friends

If you are really missing us, at least show some actions like emails, sms or MSN lar. Nope, never hear from you, ever.

3) The "You should have to come to me for help" friends

These group of people will always know where to get the better deal, have friends where it matters and convince that you have not made the best choice.

The problem is, they only voice out after you made that purchase, or made that decision. When you are asking for assistance, they can't hear you.

If you are reading this and felt guilty, no, I'm not talking about you!

Makansutra Gluttons Bay eh? Good or not?

We went to the Glutton Square (now defunct) at Orchard Road and they were serving us overpriced hawker food.

Should we go? Don't wanna pay for expensive and yucky food, leh.

Leave a comment if you've been there to eat.

I understand how you feel on the "uncomfortable people". My bf has started his new job in KL.

Yesterday, my "friendly" friend knows about it and says "Erica, your bf suddenly come to KL work, can get high pay? Even high pay also no use lar, must know how to save money. How much you two have save the money so far."

Aiyoh, is all about money. One person value is judged by how much salary he/she get. Sad to say that..

i didn't enjoy the food at gluttons bay though i've been there twice. i think everything is simply over-rated and over-priced. The hawkers are just mass-producing food to cater to the touristy crowd. the fried prawn noodles were soggy and cold. very disappointing. that place isn't worth going unless you want to experience having hawker food between that 2 huge durians and the water.

anywayz, u two, please come back soon.
