Happy 42nd birthday, Singapore!

It's been more than a year since I left the little sunny island to live in a humongous sunny island.

It's great to hear that economic growth in the first half of this year was 7.6% and fore casted to reach up to 8%.

Singapore's athletes are winning medals, students are excelling in international events and the country is gearing up for new and exciting projects like the Formula One Grand Prix and the integrated resorts.

Even the NDP this year is different. For the first time, the parade will be held on water at Marina Bay.

It will be on the largest floating stage in the world, apparently.

Not to be outdone by the locals, we had our very own celebration here at Sydney.

Just last Sunday, we gathered together for a food feast. Each of us brought a local dish and that certainly brought us closer to home.

Goodies up close and personal.

Dessert was ice cream sandwich. Yum!

We played Taboo after that.

Some were really good at it, and some just sat there, speechless.

I LOVE Taboo! We must play one day, as a Church.
