Started work today with my new employer. The office is at Artamon, which is about 10km nearer to my house as compared to the previous one.
I'm working as the Channel Specialist there. Don't ask me what is my job scope, as I'm still figuring it out myself. It's basically more of an account management role, as opposed to new sales acquisition role before this. I'll be working closely with the distributors and not doing the door to door type direct selling.
Thank God for that!
I arrived early today, even though traffic was a night mare. I'll take another route tomorrow.
The office is predominantly Asian, except for the Country Manager who hired me. He is an Aussie.
It's nice to be back in a familiar environment, as I was a minority at Optus.
My manager bought as lunch today at a local pub to celebrate my first day. Thanks a lot for that!
I feel really comfortable here, and hope that the team spirit here will be as fantastic as Unilever days. Colleagues were more like buddies and work is like having fun.
