Yup, today marked my first business trip in Australia.

I got up pretty early to catch the 7.30am flight to Melbourne, and Eliss was kind enough to send me there.

For some reason, I went to check in again on their computer booth and it spit out another boarding pass, even though I already printed out the day before.

Got into a bit of drama when I got on the Qantas flight, because the seat number on the boarding pass was not found on the plane.

I spoke to the air stewardess and she told me they have swapped plane last minute, and all the seats allocated were no longer valid. And I must leave the plane and get another seat number from the reception.

What the?!

Then I recalled I printed out another boarding pass earlier, and the seat number was different from the older pass.

Phew! I got a seat after all and didn't have to leave the plane.

Qantas is not as good as others think after all.

After a hard day travelling all over the place, I was so happy to be back to the hotel to rest.

I had the whole room to myself, shiok!

City view from 10 floor up, and with a rare blue sky to beat.

Met up with my colleague for dinner, and decided to go for this restaurant called Sambal Kampung. The main reason is because they have Sotong Mee, which is rare in Australia!

We ordered so much food. Besides my absolute favourite noodles, there were curry chicken (which tasted like rendang), sambal sotong (which I thought came with kang kong, but came with carrots, onions and broccoli instead) and teh tarik.

I reckon food taste better in Sydney, but still good lar.

Being a self proclaimed sotong mee connoisseur, the dish will taste better if the noodles was simmered longer in the broth to absorb all the flavours.

And if the noodles were slightly charred before adding in the liquid, it will have more "wok hei".

Late night shopping being on Fridays over here, instead of Thursdays in Sydney, the only place still opened is Crown Casino.

Wanted to look for Ryce at Mahogany Room to catch up, but she was back home by the time I reach there.

Sigh.

So, this is the famous Nobu owned by Nobuyuki "Nobu" Matsuhisa (松久 信幸) and Robert De Niro.

Heard so much about it before. Must come with Eliss the next time.

The weather was pretty chilly that night, but so refreshing for me as I love cold weather.

Mont Blanc was having some kind of art exhibition along the river bank, very pretty right?

Time to go back and rest, another long day ahead tomorrow.
