Awesome! Splendid! Masterpiece! One of the best movies I've ever watched!
I reckon the CGI is better than Transformers. Kudos to Industrial Light & Magic for making those action sequence so errr...magical.
The movie is pretty close to the original comics which first appeared in 1963. Just a few subtle differences to highlight.
In the comics, the story was set in Vietnam, Tony Stark developed mini-transistors could help the war effort. But in the movies, it was set in Afghanistan and Tony was demonstrating the new Jericho missiles.
While checking on his plant, Tony was injured by exploding shrapnel and captured by warlord Wong Chu during a sabotage.
In the movies, he was captured by Razu, an Afgan terrorist who spoke really good English.
In the comics, Chu forced Tony and another captive, famed physicist Ho Yinsen, to create weapons for him.
Yinsen is not a Chinese (although he shares the same name) in the movies, but I can't really tell is his ethnicity.
Ok, enough spoilers for me. Go and watch it yourself.
