Izaeel and Ranger are in town over from Brisbane for the weekend, so we caught up with them and had dinner at Ju Ju's.
The last time I met her in Singapore, she was still single. And now, she got hitched and just celebrated her first wedding anniversary!
I remembered all the silly things we've done during uni days. And how she and her housemate freaked out when the unit below her floor got broke into. She called us in late in the night and we rushed over to make she they are ok.
I tried to teach her rollerblading along her carpeted corridor, but in vain. How to skate over carpet?
We also travelled together to Sydney in a small group during one of the holidays. We got a rented car and attempted to drive to CCC at Oxford Falls. GPS was not common in the early 2000s, so had to rely on the trusty street directory.
We got there in about 3 hrs from the CBD.
Sweet memories.
They loved the sukiyaki. Don't we all do?
We were chatting about the culinary scene between the 2 cities, and Sydney is a clear winner.
But in terms of lifestyle, I reckon Brisbane's pace is nice for a change. The hectic lifestyle here could do a bit of slowing down.
After dinner, we drove them across the Bridge to Neutral Bay's famous 24hr cafe.
The sticky date pudding is a must try, even for someone who doesn't have a sweet tooth.
Looks like the little girl I know is all grown up now. Have a great marriage and see you guys soon in Brissie!
