After Eliss's dance class, we went to chill out at Belgian's Beer Cafe.

I had Leffe Brune, a type of Abbey beer while waiting for a table.

Eliss ordered some deep fried cheese platter to munch before our mains.

Here come our mussels! Half price Wednesday is the best time to grab these steaming molluscs.

Eliss had the blue cheese ones, and I just had my usual Siam.

On the way back, we drove past the first Apple store in the southern hemisphere, and the second largest one in the world after London.

The massive store and will be opening at 5pm tomorrow, which happens to be late night shopping day.

The store consists of 3 levels. The first floor houses over 90 Macs, all hooked up to the Internet and free for the public to browse.

The second level acts as a showcase for all of Apple’s new products and features over 60 iPods on display.

The third level consists of Apple’s service centre and home of its largest Genius Bar in the world. The Sydney Genius Bar is large enough to attend to 1,000 appointments a day, providing advice and personal training to troubled Apple users.

What I don't understand is the long queue outside at this time of the night.

Mr Kauffman, from Santa Cruz in the US, flew into Sydney this morning. He is a serial queuer, and estimates he has attended between 20 to 30 Apple store openings.

The second person in line after Ms Quantock was Moyzsckya Belle, an inventor from Brisbane.

He flew in from Brisbane only to find the first position had already been taken when he arrived outside the store at 8:25am.

Mr Belle said he owned every version of iPod ever released by Apple, and he and his wife had almost 10 Mac computers between them.

I thought I was quite a big fan already, owning an iMac, 2 iPod Nanos (lost the first one), an iPod Shuffle (for a while) and got an iBook for Eliss.

So what do you get to be amongst the first to walk in? The first 2,500 through the doors will receive a commemorative Apple t-shirt.

Not enough to entice me. I'll visit the store when all the hype goes down a little.
