We had to wake up super early to go to Dot's place to prepare weapons of mass destruction to sabo the groom as he comes to pick up the bride.
I couldn't really sleep well last night, only managed to doze off around 3am.
We took the bus to her place. Good thing I still have my EZLink card with me. It's linked by GIRO so I never have to queue up at the machine to top up.
The last time I did that was when I was still in secondary school, before I signed up for it.
If you can read what's on the LED board, it says 6.54am. Yawn!
The whole glass is frosted up. No, the bus is not freezing, just that the outside temperature is so warm.
We arrived at her place, and you can tell for sure that the whole family is excited for this day.
Eliss with her best mate.
Her parents were very kind and got all of us breakfast. I miss vegetarian bee hoon so much! Especially the deep fried bean curd skin, yum!
How about some ice cold milo to wash down the delicious food?
After the whole shebang, we went to this Bottle Tree Park for some outdoor photoshoot. You'll definitely see this place on the MRT, just before it reaches Yishun station.
I didn't even know this place existed. Who says there is nothing much to see in Singapore.
I thought this place has a very unique rustic charm, doesn't really feel like the modern Singapore I know.
This is when the artificial stuff comes in. A prawn fishing pond.
Why would people fish for prawn, anyway? It's easier to just head to NTUC or something.
This is a fake longkang (drain), probably aimed at the baby boomers clients who wants to recapture their childhood days of catching fish in there.
I didn't know dinosaurs roamed Yishun?! I wonder who designed this...
What a small world! I know Andy since my army days, and he happened to be a mate of the groom as well! He is one of the groom's "brothers" who got to taste the fury of the bride's "sisters" earlier on.
A true Singaporean icon.
What's up with the numbering on the coconuts? To buy 4D?
Congrats to Casey and Dot on your big day!
It was more action for us as we were the MC for the banquet dinner.
A long day ahead!
