We took the day easy, still recuperating from the hectic past 2 days.
Today's plan is to visit my parents, whom I've not met since last Jun. Since they stay at Hougang, the easiest way to get there is to take a bus from Ang Mo Kio (AMK).
Eliss's dad kindly gave us a ride on his cab. It was really cool to take a cab when the meter is off.
The new AMK Hub is like the nearby Toa Payoh (TPY) Hub, except bigger. I remembered this place was under construction for the longest time. They even moved the bus interchange somewhere else so that they could developed this piece of land.
Good to see that some things remain unchanged. That familiar smell and the service from the ever friendly aunties.
I heard that Old Chang Kee only employ senior people for the role as they want to provide an opportunity for them to earn more money. That's social responsibility.
No wonder the locals are crazy over donuts, they have pretty interesting flavours.
Apple Strudel, Cheezy Crunch, Flossy Haven and many more.
For me, I don't really care. Donut is still a donut to me.
Anyway, Eliss insisted that I buy a box back to my parents.
We had dinner at Chomp Chomp and had the greatest time.
