Are you proud of Singlish? I am. And my secret agenda is to spread Singlish in Australia, and make them understand us instead of us trying to slang like them.

I read this interesting article from Asiaone that there are actually academics publishing reasearch papers on the evolving nature of Singapore English.

My favourite quote from them:

"...Try to eliminate Singlish, they are probably fighting a losing cause."

Joseph suggested that we have something good tonight to celebrate our new status, and invited a top chili crab chef to cook for us.

We got 4kg worth of live mud crab to share among 5 of us. We're going to have almost 1 crab each to ourselves.

Knowing their fate, one of the crabs tried to escape and hid in a corner, praying hard that his fate will change.

Check out the size of these things! I reckon they are much bigger than their distant cousin from Sri Lanka.

This looked like a scene of one of those ang mo vampire movies where the priest stick a crucifix into the heart of Dracula.

The crabs struggled before they were cut up and gutted.

Look at the succulent meat!

Jake the master chef squeezing some time to smile for the camera.

Eliss was the assistant chef helping with the mise en place.

Done! If you want to learn how to cook, you can click here for the recipe.

Eliss specially reserved this piece for herself later.

Good food, great friends and plenty of laughter last through the night.
