Eliss's boss sent out an email to say that there is this area at Matraville where residents zhng their houses to look like Christmas trees.
That area was so filled with cars, it was like a tourist attraction. Parents pushing trams of babies, Grandparents taking photos of their grandchildren, it was pretty amazing.

I was quite surprised that some of the residents actually let people to walk into their premise, not just taking some pictures from outside. Aren't they afraid that people will steal their things?
This particular household brought the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge to their doorstep. Maybe they should set some fireworks on new year's eve as well, save squeezing through the crowd at the actual site.

I reckon they enjoy the attention, make them like sort of a celebrity for the week.
Jac went to another place at Mt Annan and took many pictures of the Christmas lights too.

I have never seen the Sydney Fish Market (SFM) so crowded at 11pm before in my life! But then again, I was never there at that time.
Yes, the Christmas 36 Hour Trade is on again. SFM began their marathon trading from 5am, Tuesday, 23 December right through to 5pm on Wednesday, 24th December.
The place was jam packed, hardly any rooms to move. The whole atmosphere was exciting, I could almost feel electricity in the air.
There was this guy in the middle, wearing a light blue shirt peeling the prawns and giving out samples too. In return, people were ordering in kilos. What a partnership.
This is the way retail should be, not closing at 6pm. Do this everyday!

Tons of prawns were sold, I tell you. People were not buying anything else. The fish, scallops and oysters section were dead quiet.
The butchers and the fruit stalls were swapping flies all night.

We bought a kilo of tiger prawns to serve with seafood cocktail sauce for tomorrow Christmas dinner.

What's a Christmas dinner without turkey right? It was my first time stuffing one so I was pretty nervous.
We went to Coles earlier to shop for the bird. While at it, I was like how do you roast one? What other ingredients do you need? So I came up with a smart idea to go to the magazine section first and read those food magazine for recipes.
Smart right?
Then we need strings to tie up the legs. We couldn't find the aisle that sells them at the baking section. How? The bird with look obscene with its legs wide open.
In the end, we got it at the gardening side. Shhh. A string is still a string right?

Anyway, Eliss found a fruit stuffing recipe that she like and we got the ingredients.
We added some dried apples and apricot to the standard mix to boost the flavour.
Hope it tastes good tomorrow!
Here's a little something from Jars of Clay. Merry Christmas guys!
