After surviving the heat from last weekend, the temperature in Sydney dropped overnight and hovering out at around 20°C.
We left the air con at full blast almost every night last week, and we didn't have a chance to turn on the fan for this whole week.
We had the largest bushfire in history at Victoria, and flood in Queensland. Looks like bananas will cost between $5 and $6 a kilogram now, as compared to the usual $2.
I just had my first week of class at TAFE. It's good so far. Being in the first week of the semester, it was the usual round the table introduction and the grand tour around the school campus.
I got to learn about basic studio lighting setup on the first day of practical, and had a go at a medium format Mamiya. That's what I want to learn, really.
For today's lecture, the teacher flashed his slides using an OHP.
An OHP?! When was the last time you used one? My last time was during uni days and that was 6 years ago.
Projector hooked to a laptop is the way to go nowadays, isn't it? Kevin Rudd ought to spend more money on the schools, ya?
The main surprise I got here was that there are actually more girls than guys in my class. I didn't expect so many girls to be interested in photography.
I only know Lisa, who turned pro after our photography class in Singapore.
The movie is about how a dentist gained the ability to communicate with ghosts after a near death experience, and discovered a new found appreciation for life.
Ricky Gervais is really funny as Dr Bertram Pincus. I loved the British humour.
Go watch it!
