Drinking is a national passion of Australia. For me, I like to drink ice mocha.

The simple pleasure of hanging out with friends and building relationship is something that both of us enjoy.

If you have not been to Well Connected Cafe, you must pay them a visit if you are at the Glebe area.

The eclectic interior has a very distinctive charm that cannot be replicated anywhere else.

This is one of our favourite coffee joint. You can park for free in the nearby Broadway Shopping Centre.

However, some tourists from the US were not so happy. They got ripped off by some unscrupulous hawker at the infamous Newton Hawker Centre in Singapore.

They were charged $491 for a meal which included 8 tiger prawns, some crabs, half a steamed chicken and a few bottles of beer.

The prawns itself came to $239. And I thought the Sydney Fish Market is steep for charging around $38/kg for their biggest tiger prawns.

Tanglin Best BBQ Seafood will be shut down by NEA for 3 months from April 1, and the worker who served the Americans will be suspended for 1 year.

So, as a word of warning to all the readers who want to try Singapore food. Avoid Newton because we all know that place is full of crooks who try to overcharge tourists. There have been many cases already, so I hope you'll not be the next victim.

If you really must go, go with a local. Your wallet will be safer that way.
