Eliss seems to be enjoying herself in Singapore. Boosting the economy with her shopping and eating local goodies.

I wished I could join her, but I can't for obvious reasons. Imagine asking my boss for 2 weeks leave after working for only 2 weeks.

He would probably agree to let me go on a permanant one and don't come back.

Sydney had a major black out yesterday in the city. I didn't even realise it until I watched the news back home. Some parts of the CBD, Cross City Tunnel and Bondi was completely powerless. Many traffic lights went out as well, causing a major chaos.

My office was fine and the bus journey back home was nice and smooth.

And the Emergency Services Minister has no idea if we have a back up battery supply or not. I love the way the deejays corner the poor guy. It's a classic!

Listen to the radio interview here.

It's official. The easiest way to get a PR in Australia is to do a cooking course. No wonder there are so many students, predominantly Asians doing that at the TAFE where I'm studying.

Every time I walked through the main door, there will be so many of them in chefs uniforms tucking in their dinner before their practical lessons.

I wonder how many of them will actually become a chef after graduation. Or it's just a loop hole to stay in Australia permanently.

Where is my Tax Bonus of $900?

I was discussing with some friends a couple of weeks ago about this. According to the papers, you'll be getting $600 if your income was between $80,000 and $90,000 and $250 for those who earned between $90,000 and $100,000 last year.

For students or part timers who only earned between $1 and $899, you'll be looking at only about $1 bonus from the government.

I know! Not fair, right? These are the people who really need the money. But then again, it's high time tax payers get some money back too.
