Brought a friend to shop for a Mazda this afternoon.

It's been a long time since I visited a new car dealership. I have not ever own a brand new car before, although I've sold a few before in the past.

I drove her to Homebush and then realised that there isn't a Mazda dealership in that area! I drove all the way to Auburn and made a U turn to come back, and nothing was in sight.

After a few phone calls, the nearest one was at West Ryde.

So we went all the way there to Tom Kerr Auto to test drive the Mazda 2 Maxx.

The ride was pretty good, no problem climbing the slopes with its robust 1.5l engine.

She was ready to make a commitment, but it seemed that the guys were more concern of going home.

I helped her to haggle the price to about $1000 difference to her target price. The dealer refused to budge and he lost the deal.

Oh well, she might just have to buy her car at the Rockdale dealership.

The week went past like a flash.

Eliss has been away for a week, and the house is really quiet now. She'll usually be in front of the telly watching CSI and all the rest.

Well, it's just another week to go before she comes back.

Without the compact camera, I feel quite lazy to lug the SLR around to take pictures, except for my school assignment. So please pardon me for photo-free entries.

Maybe I should get a point-and-shoot myself too. Love the retro look, Leica F2.0 lens and the horseshoe for the big flash.

I'm getting a better hang of my job, I would say. Tomorrow will mark my first month with Telstra.

It's interesting to work for a big company like this which values more than just pure hard work. For the past few Fridays, there had been charitable events organised to raise money for a foundation started by an ex staff.

This week, we were encouraged to bake our own cakes and bring them in to sell or to donate money.

The only cake that I know how to bake is not edible, so I chose to pump in some Vitamin M to the cause.

Over the week, I've had lunch with some friends that I lost contact for many months. It was a good to catch up with them and know they are doing well.
